4. The World's Best Coco Peat and Coir Fibre

Introduction

Coco Peat isn't exactly like "peat" moss, but it works well as a substitute when processed. Peat bogs cause significant environmental damage by releasing billions of tons of greenhouse gases and take thousands of years to renew. Coco Peat is a sustainable, renewable resource transforming agriculture globally. Sugan Fibre's Coco Peat undergoes an extra step - washed four times in fresh water - making it more efficient. The powdery pith is collected, dried, aged, sieved, and compressed for shipping.

Best Coir Fibres

The World's Best Coir Fibre: Reasons from India:

India, rich in resources, notably coconuts, ranks third in production globally. Its tropical climate fosters abundant coconut tree growth, yielding ample coir fiber. Coconuts, revered as "Kalpavriksha," offer both immature (pale) and mature (yellowish) coir. Brown coir from mature, yellow from younger, used for ropes, cushions, and more.

traditional and eco-friendly, maintains soil, absorbs water, resists heat. Coir geotextiles are biodegradable, aid seed germination. Coir waste, called peat, serves as fertilizer and mulch. India's holistic use of coconuts is remarkable!

Sugun Fibres Coco Peat products are quite distinct from others in the market due to being formulated by plant scientists who are also growers - the design of our tailored Coconut Coir blend is inspired by top-notch crop production methods. We take pride in the ability to customize this multifunctional growth media for professional farming, hydroponics and consumer use, while stimulating economic growth in local communities where it is derived from.

The coir Fibres Types :
Fine Coco Pith :

The leftover powder from the coconut husk is called coco pith, also known as Coco Peat. It comes in compressed blocks with a pH level ideal for growing, unlike acidic peat moss. Coco Peat is lightweight, non-clumping, and supports root development with consistent moisture and oxygen. It doesn't smell bad, drains well, lasts up to 5 years, and releases nutrients slowly when watered. Hydroponic systems and small grow bags use it exclusively, while outdoor plants use it as mulch. It's popular for in-ground gardens due to easy rewetting. Sugan Fibers' Grow Sure blocks are 100% Coco Pith, producing fluffy Coco Pith when hydrated.

Complex Coco Fibre :

Tiny capillaries like those in coco fiber help coco peat retain moisture and spread nutrients. Unlike coarser coco fiber used for brooms, these fibers look like clusters of fine roots. To get the best results, gently separate and spread them in the rehydrated mix. This aerates the growing media, letting water and nutrients move evenly. It keeps container moisture consistent, preventing dry spots. Also, as a soil enhancer, it prevents compression in clay and holds moisture in sandy soil.

Coco Chips and Shreds :

Coco Chips and Coco Shreds excel in oxygenation and moisture retention without rewetting. Also called "Coco Fractions" or Coco Nuggets, they outperform peat moss by absorbing moisture without wetting agents. Their chunky shape creates air pockets and maintains steady moisture/nutrient release. Sugan Fibre's Coco Pith and Coco Fractions blend eliminates the need for other additives like stones or perlite. Sugan Fibre's Coco Husk products suit long-cycle container crops.
